Myeong-Dong Shopping

Here's another glimpse of a shopping area in Seoul. We took the subway to get to Myeong-Dong to have a look around. I'm told the subway is super easy to use but I'm glad my cousin Oogie was willing to be our tour guide!

And, no, I have no explanation for the man in the dog costume on his smart phone. Have a look at this video:




All of those people each seemed to have umbrellas handy when it rained:



The area is very popular with Chinese and Japanese tourists and as you walk along make-up store shopgirls are trying to lure customers in using at least four different languages. The market was fun, but seemed limited to shoes, clothes, make-up and food.  Stay tuned for more fun food pics in another post.

We broke from the hustle and bustle for a peek at the Myeong-Dong Catholic church where I bought some kind of tree root juice from nuns selling it at a church street fair. If they say it is good for you, it has to be, right?
